5 Tips for Moving a base in Dune Awakening

These are some things I learned when moving my bases in Dune Awakening.

  1. Sub Fief Console, there are two version… a Simple and an Advanced Sub Fief console. You can only have two of each consoles per region. The advanced one has more health and can be expandable. If you don’t plan on expanding your base, using staking units, you can just use the simple console. You pay no taxes on Simple consoles, but will have to pay a base tax on the Advanced ones. The money does not get automatically deducted from your bank, you actually have to go see the tax man at Arrakis/Harko Village.
  2. Raise your console off the ground before you place it. The base box sits quite a bit below ground level so you will lose some real estate if you don’t. If there’s nothing to stand on, build the console and some stairs and then delete the console and place it again.
  3. Don’t place the console on a floor or structure you are deleting. If you remove a floor the console is on it will dismantle. Grab it and move it off the the side out of your work area.
  4. You can dismantle a console and place a new one if you just want to shift your base a bit. Just make sure that whatever you want safe is inside the box… anything outside the box will deteriorate with sand storms.
  5. If you dismantle or delete a console on accident it’s ok, your stuff isn’t gone, it’s just unlocked for the world to take.
